CX Lavender kicks off plastic-free office initiative
By Andrea Sophocleous
CX Lavender has launched an agency-wide program to become a plastic-free workplace by 2019.
The aim is to motivate all staff in the firm's Sydney and Melbourne offices to eliminate the use of single-use plastic and takeaway cups. As part of the initiative, all CX Lavender staff were today issued with their very own clay keep-cup.
To mark the occasion, a professional barista spent the morning in the Sydney office making coffees for all employees to enjoy in their brand new keep-cups.
Beginning this month to coincide with Plastic Free July, staff are encouraged to rethink using takeaway coffee cups, single-use plastic bottles, plastic straws and single-use plastic.
CX Lavender will also host a series of guest speakers on sustainability and how individuals can make a difference, as well as screening environmental documentaries and registering teams to volunteer with Clean Up Australia.
CX Lavender Founder & Chairman Will Lavender said: "As a business, we've long been committed to sustainable practices and lowering our environmental footprint. Our aim in becoming a plastic-free workplace is to make it as easy as possible for every person at CX Lavender to change their routine and become more conscious of their choices around plastic."
